Urban Sketching at Fort Worth's Stockyards

Last weekend , the third Saturday in February, the Urban Sketchers of North Texas met at the Fort Worth Stockyards for a "SketchCrawl."  About 25 of us had a great time.  Here is a sketch of a couple of "performing cowboys," next to a longhorn waiting for some photo ops.  For more urban sketching click here: http://on.fb.me/1L03PZU.

This is view of the hotel at the Stockyards.

Auburn . . . War Eagle

SuAnne and I are proud grads of Auburn University; although when we graduated long ago, it was still called Alabama Polytechnic Institute.  The iconic campus building, Samford Hall, dates back more than a century.  Here's a sketch of it.  For more of my sketches click here: http://on.fb.me/1O0I6mh

McKinney, TX sketches

A few weeks ago I added to my collection of sketches from McKinney, TX, about a half hour north of us.  One is another sketch of the chapel at Chestnut Square.  The second is the Delaney Cottage, also in Chestnut Square, a park of old McKinney structures.  For more sketches of McKinney, click here: http://on.fb.me/1Ng650O.  You can also see most of these at the LAST Art Gallery, 105 W. Louisiana Street, McKinney.
