Urban Sketchers at Sundance Square and lots of cars

About 30 Urban Sketchers were at Sundance Square in Fort Worth for the Wheels for Wellness on September 17 for a great "sketch crawl."  I worked on Doug Fagan's 1937 Ford Coupe.  He said it's worth something south of $100,000.

Urban Sketching in Farmers Branch

On April 16, 2016 the Texas Urban Sketching crew descended on Farmers Branch Historical Park.  Here's one of the old train station and caboose.

And here's a sketch done in water-soluble brown ink of the old gas station.

The Hair Dryer Caper

Last week at a watercolor workshop, instructor Andy Evansen eschewed a hair dryer for his watercolor washes.  Now he can wave this card over his painting to dry the wash.  For more of my sketches click here: http://on.fb.me/1O0I6mh

Four Wheels and a Key

My friend had only one birthday wish: a gift that has four wheels and starts with a key.  So . . . Happy Birthday, old friend!  For more of my sketches click here: http://on.fb.me/1O0I6mh

Urban Sketching at Fort Worth's Stockyards

Last weekend , the third Saturday in February, the Urban Sketchers of North Texas met at the Fort Worth Stockyards for a "SketchCrawl."  About 25 of us had a great time.  Here is a sketch of a couple of "performing cowboys," next to a longhorn waiting for some photo ops.  For more urban sketching click here: http://on.fb.me/1L03PZU.

This is view of the hotel at the Stockyards.

Auburn . . . War Eagle

SuAnne and I are proud grads of Auburn University; although when we graduated long ago, it was still called Alabama Polytechnic Institute.  The iconic campus building, Samford Hall, dates back more than a century.  Here's a sketch of it.  For more of my sketches click here: http://on.fb.me/1O0I6mh

McKinney, TX sketches

A few weeks ago I added to my collection of sketches from McKinney, TX, about a half hour north of us.  One is another sketch of the chapel at Chestnut Square.  The second is the Delaney Cottage, also in Chestnut Square, a park of old McKinney structures.  For more sketches of McKinney, click here: http://on.fb.me/1Ng650O.  You can also see most of these at the LAST Art Gallery, 105 W. Louisiana Street, McKinney.
